She obtained a Mobility Plus Grant form Polish Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education for Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowship to be based at CEED/CBCS, University of Queensland, for two years from August 2017. Her project includes invasion risk in land sharing and land sparing dilemma. Magda’s research interests are in ecology of invasive species, plant – dispersers and pollinators relationships, ecosystem services provided by pollinators, birds, ants, soil microorganisms, politically related land use change that affect biodiversity, urban ecology. As a former student of psychology she is interested in how nature affects human mental wellbeing and health. She also works on species marketing in conservation. In her private time she is a tango argentino dancer, traveller and cook.
